Data You Give Us Directly
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the outside provider that supplies the results; our servers do not retain a separate copy of that query. When you contact us, we receive the information in your message and use it to respond.
Information Collected Automatically
Our host records routine server-log information, such as an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time of access. We review it in aggregate for site maintenance and to understand which guides are useful. Cookies or comparable technologies may enable basic analytics and, when relevant, advertising measurement.
How Limited Data Is Used
We use this information to operate and troubleshoot the site, measure traffic, and improve its pages. We neither sell visitor lists nor create individual visitor profiles.
External Websites
This site links to municipal, county, and state record portals, as well as library collections, archives, and outside search tools. Each destination controls data submitted there under its own privacy policy. That includes sponsored search results provided by a third party.
Who Can Receive Data
Hosting and support providers process server logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatically collected information described above. We provide information in response to valid legal process, and otherwise do not disclose it.
Safeguards and Retention
The site uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the purposes stated above. Because it offers no accounts, it does not hold a visitor password or personal account profile.
Visitors Under 18
This site is intended for adults rather than children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18; if you believe a minor supplied information, contact us so it can be deleted.
Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Qualifying New Jersey consumers may have rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of certain processing of personal data under the New Jersey Data Privacy Law, P.L. 2023, c.266, N.J.S.A. 56:8-166.4 to -166.19, effective January 15, 2025. Because we keep very little, a request will generally involve checking the contact mailbox and server logs, then removing information found there. Send a request through the Contact page. Records maintained by New Jersey state, Mercer County, or Princeton offices are not under our control; a request concerning those records belongs with the responsible custodian under the New Jersey Open Public Records Act, N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq..
Updates to This Policy
We will post revisions to this policy on this page. Continued use after a revision indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
